Our next monthly meeting has been moved to MONDAY, March 12 at 7:00 PM, Mt. Ashland Room:
The power of art: TOGETHER WE CAN PREVENT GUN VIOLENCE!
Cory Ross and Derek Pyle, volunteers with VisionQuilt, will present a visual program explaining how
VISIONQUILT.ORG empowers communities to imagine and create their own solutions to gun violence through the power of art and inclusive dialogue. Vision Quilt was founded in Ashland and is very active in Southern Oregon, as well as Chicago, Los Angeles and Oakland. It is growing rapidly and becoming a national movement.
Check out visionquilt.org for a preview. This an exciting concept based on the AIDS Quilt model with art leading to discussion, commitment and change.
